I joined the Tampa General Hospital team in 2015 after moving from Central America with a background in human resources and logistics. As a part of this wonderful organization that cultivates growth and development, I was given the opportunity to serve in different areas within the People and Talent division, acquiring a wide understanding of the support and partnership provided to our team members. Specializing in talent acquisition for health care has truly been my passion, and I proudly share my knowledge and experience with others to encourage them to achieve their dream roles.

During my down time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places and learning historic landmarks as well as appreciating art and music. Currently, I am diving into cooking classes to expand my family’s culinary interests and keep the traditions shared with us. I’m excited to meet you and learn more about your interest.

I started with the Tampa General Hospital team in 1978 as a graduate nurse in the CTICU, where I worked for about 10 years taking care of critical patients. Later in my nursing career, I expanded to Pre-Op/PACU to serve an additional 10 years in patient care. In 1999, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in human resources and started my journey recruiting a variety of clinical roles. I have since obtained my master’s degree in HR management and have two HR certifications — the PHR and SHRM-CP, for which I am very proud. I also continue to keep my RN license. My biggest joy is matching the right nurse with the right position and then seeing them grow in their roles. TGH is such a great place to work and offers more support than any other local hospital. It is exciting to tell others about the great opportunities here.

On my off time I enjoy the beach, reading mysteries and improving my cooking skills. I also love to play with my dog, Gypsy, one ball of white fur.

I graduated from St. Vincent’s Hospital and School of Nursing in 1988 and have been a nurse for more than 30 years. I began my career in New York City, but relocated to sunny Florida in 1992. I was offered an opportunity to continue my nursing career here at Tampa General Hospital in the Medical ICU, where I worked as a clinical nurse and their unit- based educator. During this time, I completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s in nursing education. I work with an amazing Talent Acquisition team here at Tampa General Hospital, where I enjoy guiding today’s nurses on their journey here.

On my off time, my husband and I are busy exploring what Florida has to offer, chasing after an adventurous 8-year-old, gardening and soaking up all the great weather Florida has to offer. And I’m currently adding chicken coops to the mix.

I joined TGH in May 2021 as a Department Assistant for the Observation Unit and CareComm, our NASA inspired Central Command Center by General Electric (GE). Before I became a part of the TGH family, I spent 11 years working as a Medical Assistant, specializing in Pediatrics. I have been honored to work for such a supportive organization, that helps its team members develop into the best version of themselves.

Because of our supportive leadership team and an environment that fosters continued growth and development, I was able to volunteer at one of our Hiring Events in 2022 and instantly fell in love with the concept of matching top talent to amazing opportunities at TGH. I met with many candidates that knew they wanted TGH but weren’t sure where to start. Educating candidates on the many different pathways at TGH is incredibly rewarding. While I never thought I’d find myself in a career in People and Talent (otherwise known as Human Resources), I absolutely love it!

In my spare time, I love singing and playing my piano/guitar with my 5-year-old daughter. I’m currently in school pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration.

I began my career in healthcare fives years ago, as a nursing student. I quickly learned my passion was within administration. I worked staffing and patient placement for three years and then journeyed into human resources. I joined Tampa General Hospital’s People and Talent team as I completed my AA in Human Resource Administration as an Onboarding Success Partner and now, I transitioned into Talent Acquisition Consultant as I complete my Bachelor’s in Business administration. As a Talent Acquisition consultant, I get to be a part of the process of helping someone start their new adventure with a great organization.

On my time off, I like to spend time with my wonderful 7-year-old and 5-year-old, they keep me on my toes. I enjoy cooking and learning about new things, you can find us at Treasure Island in a pool or on a boat.

Enough about me, join the TGH team so we can learn a bit about you!

I began my career in health care on the staffing side of the home care industry, transitioning to recruitment in 2016. During my time as a recruiter, I’ve had the opportunity to make nurse recruitment my focus. I’ve been able to work with those beginning their careers in health care to those seeking growth and further development in administrative and managerial functions. Working with organizations to identify team members who are truly passionate about the care they provide has been an absolute privilege and I am so grateful to bring my skill set to the Tampa General team!

When not at work, you can find me at home navigating the ins and outs of having a toddler! My little tornado keeps me on my toes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When not cleaning up toys or spilled Cheerios, my family and I may be at the farmers market, doing yard work or spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to learn about you and your interests — welcome to the team!

I joined Tampa General Hospital in 2008 as part of the human resources team, onboarding new physicians and nursing team members. Before I became a part of Talent Acquisition, I spent several years with the Volunteer Services team, recruiting some of the incredible individuals who generously dedicate their time to TGH. Thanks to the leadership, coaching and support of many, and a culture that fosters the development of its team members, I have been blessed to learn and move through different roles within the organization.

I am originally from Panama, home to one of the “Seven Wonders of the Modern World” — the Panama Canal. I love to spend time with my family, and I enjoy sunny days the beach and reading a good book. I look forward to helping you find a home with us at TGH

When I began my career in recruitment in Monterrey, Mexico, more than 25 years ago, I knew working in this profession was my calling. I have been at Tampa General Hospital since 2011 and have been gratified by the culture and passion of the leaders and team members who work here. Working in Talent Acquisition has provided me with many opportunities to learn new things and to work on exciting projects, all while being a part of a very diverse team. Most importantly, I love being able to make a difference in the lives of thousands of employees.

Although I have always enjoyed traveling to new places, the past two years provided me with a valuable lesson — it’s important for us to enjoy what and who we have in our lives. I love working with people, being a team player and creating an environment of acceptance and respect for everyone. My native language is Spanish so every time I can help someone in need of translating or making them more comfortable by speaking in our native language, I am glad to do so. A big welcome and “Bienvenidos to the team!

I have been recruiting almost my entire career, specifically in health care for almost six years. For almost a year, I have been lucky to be at Tampa General Hospital, specializing in physician and advanced practice provider recruitment. Being one of the top academic centers in the United States, and growing at an exponential rate, it was a no-brainer to join this hospital system.

I’m currently enrolled in graduate school. Now that I’m eligible, I’m very excited to take advantage of TGH’s tuition reimbursement! When I’m not working or studying, I love to spend time exploring all the fun things to do in the Tampa Bay area, from making day trips to Clearwater or visiting the farmers market in Hyde Park. I truly couldn’t be happier at TGH and look forward to many years of growth within this incredible organization.
