Teaching

As the greater Tampa Bay region's first and largest teaching hospital, TGH has been affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine since the school enrolled its charter class in 1971. Together, TGH and USF Health form the leading academic medical center on the west coast of Florida. Through close collaboration, we are transforming the ways in which medical schools and residency programs are preparing tomorrow’s physicians to practice the medicine of the future, which is continually being shaped by new technologies, changing regulations and shifting patient expectations.
