1: Bioventrix RELIVE Clinical Study for Revivent Therapy
Have you experienced a heart attack or suffer from ischemic cardiomyopathy?
A heart attack is caused by a blood clot which blocks the flow of blood in one of the coronary arteries which supply blood to the heart. As a result, the pumping muscleof the left side of the heart becomes damaged or scarred, a condition termed ischemic cardiomyopathy. One of the chambers of the heart is called the “left ventricle” and is the main part of the heart which pumps blood to the body. The scarred muscle does not contract and causes the heart to become less efficient. When the scar involves the front wall of the heart specifically, the heart grows larger in size and becomes abnormal in shape.
