Pediatric Unit Renovations

Muma Children’s Hospital at Tampa General Hospital has completed Phase 2 of its pediatric facility renovations as part of its long-term vision to create a premier “hospital within a hospital.” This phase introduced a cheerful activity center for young patients and the Fishman Family Foundation Teen Lounge, designed to support emotional wellness and development through play, socialization, and relaxation. These additions, along with earlier upgrades to patient rooms and therapy spaces from Phase 1, reflect TGH’s commitment to holistic, child-centered care and innovation in partnership with USF Health. Generous donor contributions, including a $2 million gift for the future day hospital, have been instrumental in bringing these enhancements to life, with the final phase expected by Spring 2026.
