Tampa, FL (June 4, 2026) – Tampa General Hospital Foundation received an inspirational $1 million gift from Cliff and Linda Levy and their family to support the rising Taneja Surgical, Neuroscience & Transplant Tower on Tampa General’s Davis Islands campus.

The gift will name a patient and family waiting area in the Taneja Tower, a building that represents a transformational leap forward in how Tampa General delivers complex surgical, neurological and transplant care.

“The Taneja Surgical, Neuroscience & Transplant Tower will transform what is possible for patients and families who turn to Tampa General for the most advanced care,” said John Couris, president and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center | Tampa General Hospital. “This tower represents the future of medicine in our region, bringing together leading-edge innovation, academic excellence and world-class clinicians to deliver extraordinary outcomes. We are deeply grateful to the Levy family for investing in that future and helping us build something that will serve this community for generations.”

“The Taneja Tower will stand as a catalyst for the future of medicine, where advanced surgical innovation and academic excellence align to elevate patient care,” said Melissa Golombek, executive vice president and president of Tampa General Hospital. “Philanthropic support from individuals such as Cliff and Linda Levy is instrumental in advancing meaningful, system-wide transformation.”

The Levys, who with their family own an extensive portfolio of commercial properties throughout Tampa Bay, said they see their gift as an investment in the well-being of the community.

“The changes at Tampa General have been inspirational inside and out,” the Levys said. “The cutting-edge advances that will take place in the new Taneja Tower will be transformational for healthcare here — we are so lucky to have that in our backyard.”

The Levys said they were inspired to give to Tampa General after reading about another philanthropic gift to the Taneja Tower. They hope that others might be similarly inspired by sharing their story.

"It is truly moving when people like Cliff and Linda Levy not only make investments in TGH but are determined to encourage others to do the same,” said Frann Leppla, executive vice president and president of the TGH Foundation. “We are so very grateful they recognize the impact philanthropy will make for the patients receiving care in our Taneja Tower.”

Designed as a state-of-the-art, 565,000-square-foot medical pavilion in the heart of the Tampa Medical & Research District, this tower brings together world-class providers, the latest research therapies, and leading-edge technologies to elevate care for patients across Tampa Bay, Florida, and beyond. It is expected to open in 2028.
