Tampa General Hospital’s Stacey Brandt Named Chief Strategy Officer to Know and Chief Marketing Officer to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review

Tampa, FL (June 5, 2025) – Stacey Brandt, executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as both a “Chief Strategy Officer to Know” and a “Chief Marketing Officer to Know” for 2024. This dual recognition highlights Brandt’s exceptional leadership in driving strategic growth, enhancing market presence and fostering innovative marketing and service line development strategies for Tampa General, one of the nation’s leading academic health systems.
In her role as executive vice president and chief administrative officer, Brandt oversees strategic planning, service lines and institutes, marketing, public relations, physician business development, project management and process engineering across Tampa General’s expansive network, which includes seven hospitals and more than 150 care locations throughout Florida.
She serves as the architect and steward of Tampa General’s strategic plan, which encompasses six core themes: clinical and operational excellence, talent management, physician alignment, market growth, care coordination, and research and academics. This holistic, six-pointed approach advances the organization’s mission and shared purpose by enhancing patient experiences and outcomes, empowering Tampa General team members with the resources they need to excel and deepening the system’s academic partnership with the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine, in turn, expanding access to world-class care in the region.

Brandt spearheaded the creation and ongoing development of more than 20 service lines and institutes within Tampa General. Her leadership in this area has resulted in significant increases in patient volumes and market share across the academic health system’s primary service area. Under her guidance, institute leaders are accountable for quality, service, research, financial stability, growth and market position. As a result, Tampa General’s market share has increased from 19% to 24% over the past five years, solidifying the organization's position as a consistent market leader.
Furthermore, Brandt restructured the marketing, communications and physician business development functions for the academic health system. She manages the system’s marketing budget and has implemented strategic omnichannel marketing and communication plans that have significantly increased brand awareness for Tampa General and its institutes, driving a 60% year-over-year increase in brand impressions.
