Tampa General Hospital’s Medical Oncology program uses a multi-faceted, patient-centric approach to deliver cutting-edge individualized drug and gene therapy cancer treatments. Medical oncology is the most rapidly changing field in medicine, and Tampa General is at its forefront thanks to our academic approach, ground-breaking research and clinical trial leadership. 

The TGH Pancreatic Cancer Program offers comprehensive and integrative care from therapeutic endoscopists, pancreatobiliary surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, genetic counselors, dieticians, psychologists and Survivorship Program. Working together, our experts craft well-rounded and personalized treatment plans for each patient’s specific diagnosis, no matter the severity.  

Tampa General Hospital’s Cancer Institute features a brand new, state-of-the-art Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cell Therapies unit. This innovative addition to TGH’s world-class cancer center specializes in treating patients with aggressive blood cancers, such as leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma and other types of cancer. 

TGH Cancer Institute's Sarcoma Center of Excellence offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for more than 70 types of bone and soft tissue sarcoma.

Tampa General Hospital is one of only three academic centers in the region to offer comprehensive head and neck oncologic care. Collaboration between our specialized otolaryngologists (ENTs) and neurosurgeons allows us to provide world-class care for both benign and malignant tumors of the skull base.

Our institute also offers diagnosis and treatment to patients with cancers throughout the head and neck region, including the oral cavity, larynx, advanced skin, sinus, salivary gland, HPV-related cancers, as well as thyroid and parathyroid tumors. Tampa General is among a few programs to feature ENTs with fellowship training in head and neck cancer, allowing us to perform the most complex surgical procedures on the most challenging patients in the region.
