Tampa General Hospital (TGH) provides laboratory services at TGH DeSoto for patients and physicians in Arcadia, Florida, and across DeSoto County. Our laboratory is accredited by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and The Joint Commission.
About Our Lab
Our lab includes five specialized departments: chemistry, hematology, blood bank, serology, microbiology and coagulation. Most tests your physician orders can be completed in-house.
TGH DeSoto is also an Authorized Third Party Collection Facility for Labcorp. Our outpatient draw area features private drawing rooms. All ages are welcome, and we accept all physician orders, including orders from Canada.
Please note: A $25 collection fee applies to all Quest Diagnostics collections. All Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp orders must have the respective account numbers on the order form.
Lab Services We Offer
We offer a number of services in our hospital lab, including:
- Routine in-house testing
- Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics collection site (same hours as the laboratory)
- Pre-operative testing
- PT/INR testing
- Chain of custody drug collection
- PSA testing
- Lipid profile testing: cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL
- Thyroid testing
- Diabetes testing: glucose, hemoglobin A1C and glucose tolerance testing
- High sensitivity CRP
- Chemo CBC checks
Hours and Access
Laboratory hours:
- Monday through Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Visit Our Lab
TGH DeSoto's laboratory accepts all physician orders. Contact your provider for a lab order, then visit us during our regular hours. We're located at 900 N. Robert Ave., Arcadia, FL 34266.
