Tampa General Hospital and USF Health Morsani College of Medicine are proud to partner with the Tampa Bay Sun Football Club. For the team’s inaugural 2024/25 season, TGH serves as the Official Presenting Partner, while USF Health is the exclusive health care provider for the players, offering comprehensive care including athletic training, mental health support, dietitian services, and more.
TGH is passionate about working with this groundbreaking football club, as both organizations are aligned in their missions to promote healthy living and wellness in the Tampa Bay community. When the partnership was announced, President and CEO of Tampa General Hospital, John Couris, shared his enthusiasm: “We’re excited to be part of the Tampa Bay Sun’s historic first season. It’s an ideal match of two world-class teams—Tampa General and the Tampa Bay Sun. Working together, we’re putting Tampa Bay on the map as a premier destination for great sports and exceptional health care.”
This collaboration goes beyond the field, with the goal of integrating TGH and USF Health into community initiatives and health care services at the team’s new training facility in Ybor City, Florida.
Together, TGH, USF Health, and the Tampa Bay Sun are working hard to promote health and wellness in West Central Florida through engaging events, player activities, and media fun. Find the Sun’s game schedule here or explore their website for more information.
