By utilizing hepatitis C donors, we have access to a larger donor pool with typically younger donors, allowing our patients to benefit from shorter wait times with the same positive outcomes seen with non-hepatitis C organs. In this program, patients are treated in a dedicated clinic for HCV and our team works in collaboration with advanced practice providers, coordinators and a specialized pharmacy team.

Specific lung transplant criteria are used to determine admission into Tampa General Hospital’s Lung Transplant Program. Each potential candidate must be referred to the program by a physician, who is required to complete a lung transplant referral form.
