New National Recognition Elevates USF–TGH Pulmonary Program as a Certified Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center

The USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) are pleased to announce that the Non‑Cystic Fibrosis (non‑CF) Bronchiectasis Clinic within our Pulmonary Program has been designated a Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center by the Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center Network, a national program established by the COPD Foundation.

This designation places USF Health and Tampa General among an elite group of centers nationwide recognized for delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease.

Led by Dr. Chak Sriaroon and Dr. Dwight Miller, the USF non‑CF Bronchiectasis Clinic has developed one of the region’s most advanced programs for the evaluation and management of complex bronchiectasis and NTM infections. National designation is expected to strengthen clinical referral pathways, expand access to multicenter research collaborations, and increase opportunities for clinical trials and external funding.

With this achievement, USF Health and Tampa General Hospital now serve as the home to both Florida’s largest cystic fibrosis center and one of the nation’s recognized non‑CF Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Centers. Together, these distinctions underscore our shared commitment to delivering high‑quality, academically driven pulmonary care for patients with rare and complex airway diseases.
