Remembrance

In addition to the Golden Tree of Life, the TGH Foundation can help you celebrate the life and memory of a friend or family member in a way that will help other people in the Tampa Bay community. Consider including language in your loved one’s obituary that encourages donations to the TGH Foundation. We will notify you if we receive gifts submitted in memory of the deceased.

You can use the following language in published obituaries and tributes:

"In lieu of [flowers/gifts], please consider donating to the Tampa General Hospital Foundation, in memory of [tributee's name]. Contributions can be made online by visiting tgh.org/make-gift and completing the online giving form. Please check the box for [‘In Memory Of’ or ‘In Honor Of’] and enter [tributee's name]. You may also mail donations to Tampa General Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1289, Tampa, FL 33601-1289. Please make checks payable to “The TGH Foundation” and include [tributee's name] in the memo line.”

Honor and Celebration

Tribute giving can also take the form of donations in the name of a living person who’s made a significant impact on you and your family. Maybe you would like to recognize the hard work of a doctor, nurse or other caregiver who helped a loved one recover from illness or injury, or perhaps you’d just like to celebrate a milestone such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary or birth of a child.

Such gifts can be directed to a specific foundation fund that aligns with your family’s experience at TGH. To set up your preferred fund for tribute gifts, contact Director of Annual Giving Christina Stevens at christinastevens@tgh.org or 813.844.8676.

All donations to the TGH Foundation are tax-deductible.
