TGH Muma Children’s Hospital Child Abuse Prevention Symposium (CAPS) 2026

This eight-hour virtual and in-person, event for multiple disciplines is designed to increase understanding of the pediatric patient suspected of abuse or trafficking. The event will cover various topics: red flags associated with childhood torture, identifying potential victims of pediatric human trafficking and community resources, the role of forensics in child abuse cases and trauma informed care for recovery. We are also honored to have Sasha Joseph Neulinger, nationally recognized film maker, motivational speaker, and survivor of generational childhood sexual abuse to screen his Emmy nominated documentary and close this year’s symposium. This symposium is being offered for 7 CEUs (CMEs applied for).
Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of child advocacy members, physicians, APPs, nurses, and other health care professionals who care for child abuse patients.
