About Michele Sumner, MSN, RN
Michele Sumner, MSN, RN, began her career at Tampa General Hospital in 2018 as Rehab Nurse Manager. In this role, she successfully navigated the relocation of the rehab hospital to accommodate COVID-19 requirements and the opening of the GEDI building, while also leading efforts to open and establish the 80-bed free-standing Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital. This facility provides comprehensive care for patients recovering from debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions.
In 2022, Michele advanced to Chief Nursing Officer for the free-standing TGH Rehabilitation Hospital and, in 2025, became Director of Patient Services at TGH Brooksville. She brings extensive clinical experience in BMTU, Oncology, Radiation, Outpatient Infusion, Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, Dialysis, Cardiac Procedures, and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
