TGH Prevention Response Outreach (TPRO) | Tampa General Hospital

TGH Prevention Response Outreach (TPRO) is a consulting service provided by Tampa General Hospital that will offer the hospital’s expertise in infection prevention to organizations in Tampa Bay and beyond. This service will allow businesses, attractions, and other organizations to benefit from the advice of some of Florida’s top infection prevention experts, including leaders of the hospital’s Infection Prevention team, Infectious Disease physicians from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, and TGH’s private practice physicians who specialize in infectious disease.


Healthcare Facilities

TPRO is dedicated to providing infection prevention guidance to long-term care facilities, nursing homes, dentist offices, physician offices, veterinary clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Our subject matter experts can assist your organization in developing infection prevention policies and procedures. In addition, training can be provided to your staff regarding appropriate infection prevention and control practices for patients and staff. Additional areas that we provide support for include (but are not limited to): 

  • Management of bloodborne pathogens

  • Ensure appropriate supply and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand hygiene tools 

  • Early detection/management of potentially infectious individuals

TPRO provides infectious disease and infection prevention guidance to facilities such as schools, daycare facilities, restaurants and catering organizations, office buildings, museums, athletic organizations, and more. With our subject matter experts, we can assist your company in developing infection prevention policies and procedures. In addition, training can be provided to your staff regarding appropriate infection prevention and control practices for various work arenas. Additional areas we can provide support include but are not limited to:

  • Virtual or in-person tours of your facility to identify infection prevention deficiencies and provide recommendations based on best practices. 

  • Assess existing mechanical ventilation capabilities with our industrial hygiene team.

  • Provide infectious disease education via several mediums:
