We invite submissions in the following categories:
- Case Vignettes
We are seeking unique and thought-provoking clinical cases that provide insight into the practice of hospital medicine. Submissions should highlight diagnostic challenges, novel therapeutic approaches, or unexpected outcomes that contribute to the understanding of complex medical issues.
- Quality Improvement and Research
Submissions in this category should focus on initiatives aimed at improving patient care, safety, or healthcare delivery within the hospital setting. We encourage projects that address system inefficiencies, patient outcomes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Other Creative Works
This category invites innovative and creative contributions related to hospital medicine. Whether through multimedia, narrative medicine, or unique research endeavors, we welcome submissions that explore hospital medicine from fresh perspectives.
Submission Guidelines:
- Abstracts should be no more than 300 words.
- All submissions must be original work not previously published or presented at other conferences.
- Please include the title, category, and author(s) information with your submission. Additionally, the suggested format for each category are as follows:
Clinical Vignettes:
- Introduction including background, purpose, and significance of the case
- Case Description
- Discussion
- Conclusions
- References (Not included in word count)
Quality Improvement:
- Introduction including background, purpose, and significance of the study
- Methods
- Results to date
- Conclusions
- References (Not included in word count)
Creative Works:
- Introduction including description of the origin of the idea, and objective of the creative purpose
- Description of the creative work, may include a link to website or document with scaled product
The submission deadline is January 24th, 2025
Selected abstracts will be presented at the conference through oral presentations or poster sessions.
