Frequently Asked Questions
What Happens During The First Appointment?
Following a physician referral, the first appointment includes a consultation with a radiation oncologist, who will review your diagnosis, medical history, imaging, goals, and treatment options.
If radiation therapy is recommended, the radiation oncologist will review the benefits and risks, answer questions, and outline next steps in the treatment process. A simulation session may follow to map the treatment area and create a personalized plan, which is then reviewed by a multispecialty team to ensure safety and precision.
Who Provides The Treatments?
The care team includes radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other specialists who work together to coordinate patient care.
What Happens After Treatment?
Following treatment, we’ll provide follow-up instructions, coordinate ongoing care, and connect you with additional specialists, rehabilitation, survivorship resources, or clinical trials when appropriate.
