The Tampa General Medical Group is proud to offer a hepatology fellowship.  The main objective of the one-year fellowship is clinical training in the pathophysiologic mechanisms, clinical manifestations, and management of patients with liver disease.

The fellow will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient management of patients with hepatitis, decompensated liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma and will play an active role in pre and post liver transplant care.  We have a very busy liver transplant program, currently averaging 90-100 liver transplants per year.

Opportunities to participate in clinical research will also be available. The clinical activity of the fellowship is undertaken at Tampa General Hospital.
