Tampa General Hospital Wins Consumer Choice Award for Ninth Time

TAMPA, FL (Oct. 13, 2014) -- Tampa General Hospital has been named a 2014/2015 Consumer Choice winner by National Research Corporation. It is the ninth straight year the hospital has earned the award. Tampa General is the only Hillsborough County hospital and one of 17 in the state to receive the recognition. The winning hospitals are listed in the Oct. 13 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Market Insights survey, the largest online consumer healthcare survey in the country. The survey includes 290,000 households in the United States. Hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on Core Based Statistical Areas defined by the U.S. Census Bureau.
