November 9, 2012 (Tampa, FL) - Sally Houston, MD, senior vice president and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Tampa General Hospital, was elected to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Chief Medical Officers Group steering committee. Dr Houston has served as the hospital’s CMO since October 2007. She also has served as the hospital’s chief of staff. The Chief Medical Officers Group provides information, networking opportunities, and professional development resources for CMOs and other physicians who lead clinical programs in AAMC member organizations. The Group allows for peer-to-peer discussions and medical updates on key clinical issues.
