TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track wins accreditationPublished: Sep 18, 2019
TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2019) – TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track, the innovative network of urgent care facilities in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties, has received accreditation though the Urgent Care Association – the highest level of distinction for urgent care.
The 10-clinic network was recently formed as a partnership between Tampa General Hospital and the Fast Track urgent care network.
The clinics provide patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention from board-certified providers for a large scope of medical conditions and have met all of the Urgent Care Association’s established standards and criteria for quality of patient care, safety, and scope of services.
In fact, the 10 Fast Track urgent cares are the first and only in Tampa Bay to be accredited by UCA. Find the full list here.
“We are very proud of our team of dedicated staff and providers that we have assembled,” said Dr. Daron Diecidue, CEO of TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track. “Their commitment to excellence and quality care is reaffirmed through the achievement of this high distinction.”
"We’re really proud of the high level of quality at all 10 locations of TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track," said Adam Smith, TGH senior vice president of ambulatory Services. "This accreditation shows the commitment to high quality standards, and why our network is the top choice for the entire Tampa Bay area."
Tampa General Hospital’s emergency room is open 24/7 and Tampa General Medical Group physicians provide primary care to thousands of patients.
Urgent care fills the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms, offering increased convenience and cost savings. Urgent care serves as an alternative to the emergency room for minor illnesses and injuries, and as an option for when primary care providers cannot accommodate patient appointment needs. Unscheduled, walk-in patients are always welcomed during the hours of operation, which are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all locations. In addition, Fast Pass reservations can be made online or by calling (813) 925-1903 to save a spot in line in advance and expedite visits. Insurance information is available here.
With its accreditation, TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track and the Urgent Care Association are demonstrating their commitment to providing patients with access to quality care of the highest level.
All TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track locations are equipped with on-site X-ray, laboratory services and board-certified providers, who are always available to evaluate medical conditions and develop the best treatment approach for patients. When a medical condition cannot be handled by a patient’s regular doctor – such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains or fractures that do not require a visit to the emergency department, TGH Urgent Care Powered by Fast Track delivers comprehensive urgent care in a patient-friendly environment when and where patients need them.
