So it's the Fourth of July and you're about to make the burgers...again.

Wanna try something different? 

We have a picnic's worth of fun, festive summer dishes here - and they're healthy too, all created by TGH Health News author Jamie Vespa,  a former TGH dietitian who is now assistant nutrition editor at Cooking Light magazine.

We've picked several recipes with cool summer flavors - lots of summer fruit and fresh veggies, a few with some zesty heat, and some vegetarian options as well.
