The Tampa General Medical Group has added three new medical providers to its expanding network of board certified primary care and specialty clinicians.
Charles Friend, DO, MMHA, FAAFP, FACPE, FAWM, CPE, is a board certified specialist in family medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Executives, and a fellow of the Wilderness Medicine Society. He earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO and his residency at Eglin Regional Medical Center at Eglin Air Force Base. He is seeing patients at the TGMG Westchase location, 10718 Countryway Blvd, Tampa.
Bhumik Shah, MD, is a board certified Internal Medicine specialist. He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and completed his residency at OSF St. Francis medical Center, Peoria, IL. Dr. Shah was a hospitalist providing inpatient care for acute and chronic medical conditions in Texas prior to joining TGMG. He treats patients 18 years of age and older at the TGMG Healthpark location, 5802 N. 30th St., Tampa.
Esmeralda Young, NP-C, has board certification in Basic Life Support and as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her nursing degree at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, and her nursing Master of Science degree from South University in Tampa. Prior to joining TGMG, she worked as an acute care nurse at Tampa General’s medical and surgical oncology unit. She also practiced with Community Health Centers of Pinellas based in St Petersburg. She will care for patients 18 years of age and older at the TGMG location at 2501 W. Kennedy Blvd, Tampa.
