Innovative Nursing Programs
Tampa General Hospital and the Foundation partnered together to develop an innovative new nursing program, which allows qualified employees the opportunity to “earn while they learn.” Employees are able to attend school full-time and work part-time, while maintaining their jobs and benefits. Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has provided over $1 million in scholarships. We have been able to increase the number of recipients benefiting from the program, thanks to the generosity of our donors. We are looking for other donors interested in finding a solution to the critical nursing shortage that is threatening the United States.
