In November 2020, a TGH team member and her family were struck with tragedy. After sleeping through Tropical Storm Eta, they stepped out of bed to find themselves ankle deep in water - inside their home. After quickly evacuating their family and grabbing any personal items they could, this team member started to contemplate how she would afford to rebuild.
In the days after Tropical Storm Eta struck, TGH stepped in to help. Not only did fellow TGH team members come to their home to help clean and rebuild, the TGH Foundation provided financial assistance from the TGH Team Member Emergency Fund to help ensure the family could afford it.
The TGH Team Member Emergency Fund was established to support team members during times of financial hardship. The fund helps team members pay for necessities such as electric bills, car maintenance, school supplies and more. Since its inception, the Team Member Emergency Fund has helped TGH provide over $8,034,991 in assistance to over 1,000 TGH team members.
