Team Member Involvement and Recognition

As one of the top places to work in the health care industry, Tampa General Hospital goes out of its way to recognize and celebrate the contributions of its most valuable resource: its people. Birthday breakfasts, chats with the CEO, professional celebrations, service award dinners and ceremonies and clinical awards are just a few of the ways we honor the team members who are so essential the success of TGH.  

We also provide ways for employees to get involved in the wellbeing of their colleagues, such as a team member emergency assistance fund and an ATO donation program that allows our staff to transfer some of their accrued time off to eligible colleagues in need.

COMMUNICATIONS FORUMS

Throughout the year, our CEO holds many communication events to share exciting news, discuss new innovations and answer questions. 

PROFESSIONAL CELEBRATIONS

Special recognition is provided to team members in occupational fields celebrated throughout the year, such as Nurses’ Week, Pharmacy Week and more. 

SERVICE AWARDS DINNER

Team members with 20 years or more of services are invited to an annual dinner that includes a fun evening of dining, dancing and amazing prizes. 

SERVICE AWARDS CEREMONY

Starting at five years of service and in five-year increments afterwards, team members are recognized at a special bi-monthly ceremony.  

TEAM MEMBER EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

In cases of emergencies and disasters, this special fund is set up to support our team members getting back on their feet.
