Nurse Residency Program

Tampa General Hospital’s nationally validated, Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program provides full support for candidates’ transition to practice and is required of all graduate nurses and registered nurses who have less than one year of experience in an acute-care hospital.

Participants will attend monthly seminars over the course of a year and be part of a small group of peers who will benefit from the guidance of a mentor tasked with facilitating their professional development and networking.

The Tampa General Nurse Residency Program (NRP) utilizes the curriculum and structures of the national Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™, the nation's top nurse residency curriculum.
