Visiting hours and policies vary throughout the hospital and children under 12 years of age are allowed
in only certain units. Please ask a staff member about the policy on the unit you wish to visit. As a
courtesy to all patients, visitors may not stay overnight in semi-private rooms. Persons with a cold or
other communicable disease should not visit patients in the hospital
Visiting hours may vary in critical care units. Visitors to those units must call from the waiting room
to see if visitation is allowed at that particular time. Sometimes it is necessary to limit or delay
visitation on critical care units due to patient care activities.
Many area hotels work with Tampa General Hospital to offer discounts to our patients and their

The nursing stations may also be able to provide this information for you.
The Cafeteria/Food Court is located in the West Pavilion on the first floor and is open
virtually around-the-clock. Vending machines and access to microwave ovens are also available
in the Cafeteria/Food Court.
The Gift Shop is located in the Main Lobby, first floor, West Pavilion, and is operated by the
Tampa General Hospital Auxiliary, Inc. The gift shops sells small plants, fresh flower
arrangements, balloons, greeting cards, candy, books, magazines, and much more. A selection of
personal and toiletry items is also available.
Purchases for delivery to patients can be made over the phone with a credit card. The gift shop
can be reached at (813) 844-7370.
An automated teller machine (ATM) is located in the Cafeteria/Food Court, first floor, West
Pavilion, as well as inside McDonald's, first floor, East Pavilion. Limited check cashing is
available at the cashier's office in the Main Lobby.
CarePages is a free service offered to patients of Tampa General Hospital. This service allows
patients or their authorized representative, to create private personalized web pages to keep
