The Foundation was formed in 1974 by a group of compassionate citizens committed to providing meaningful philanthropic support to Tampa General Hospital. We offer grateful patients, concerned citizens, corporations and foundations many ways of supporting the enhancement of the hospital's continued excellence in patient care, medical education and research.
The Tampa General Hospital Foundation is a private, not-for-profit corporation, and is a qualified charitable organization under section 501(C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation's sole focus is to support the programs and services of Tampa General Hospital and does not make grants or donations to outside organizations. All gifts made to The Tampa General Hospital Foundation stay at Tampa General Hospital.
